Laura Jean Lander, age 59, of Gloversville, died Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany. She was born October 1, 1962 in Gloversville, the daughter of Glenn and Sandra Van Schaffel Lyons. She graduated from FMCC and was later employed there as an academic advisor for ten years until her health declined. Everyone loved Laura. A very independent person, she enjoyed shopping and watching her favorite movies. Laura is survived by mother, Sandra Lyons; her husband, Russell G. Lander; son, Kristian Lyons; sister, Jami Lyons; brothers, Glenn Lyons, Stephen Lyons, Randy Lyons, C.J. Lyons and Derrick Lyons; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by by her father, Glenn Lyons, and her sister, Tanya Lyons. Private burial will take place at Mayfield Cemetery.
