Robert O. Dempsey

Robert O. Dempsey, 72, of Canajoharie passed away on July 26, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born in Salmon, Idaho on January 26, 1951, he is the son of the late Robert L. Dempsey and Lavella A. (Phillips) Stuckey. During his lifetime Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marines and United States Air Force from 1968 to 1991. He also worked at JC Watson Co; Mireon, Walmart and Finkelys. He also volunteered at two fire departments. Robert is survived by his loving wife whom he united with marriage with on December 24, 1975, Karen L. (Prew) Dempsey of Canajoharie and sons Craig, Robert Jr, Timothy, Arthur, and Jay. Robert is also survived by his grandchildren Mathew, Glory-Anne, Cherrie, Tera Desiree, Winter, Amy, Kylee Jo and Lita Hope, and by his great grandchildren Laura-Anne, Shane, Adalynn, and Maria. Besides his parents Robert is predeceased by his brother William and grandson Jensen. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078 on Friday August 4, 2023, from 4:30 pm to 7 pm.
