Marjory Sue Myers
February 20th, 1940 - March 12th, 2024
Marjory Sue Myers, 84, of Gloversville, New York, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born in New Haven, New York on February 20, 1940 to the late John and Addie (Tryon) Horning. Sue loved and was loved by all who knew her. Her greatest joy in life was her family, who she cared for with all her heart. She especially loved to attend family picnics and gatherings, and always insisted that she take on the majority of the cooking for any family get-together. Throughout her life Sue always enjoyed making all sorts of crafts. She turned her hobby for crafting into a small business, attending numerous local craft fairs to sell what she made. Through the years, she even got her grandchildren involved, bringing them along to fairs to help her set up and monitor the booth. Her loving family includes her children, Frederick Robert Myers Jr., Marjory S. Sanders, Thomas (Dee) Myers, and Sally (Robert) Morehouse; her grandchildren, Amy, Amanda, Judi, Tiffany, Freddie, R. Lee Jr., Brandon, Brooke, and Sarah; as well as many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Aside from her parents, John and Addie, Sue is preceded in passing by her siblings, Helen Mackey, Lee Horning, Leona Deere and Ernest Horning. A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on June 9, 2024 at her home. She will be laid to rest in Ferndale Cemetery with her parents. Memorial contributions in Sue's memory can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY 12078 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, New York.
