Linda H. Hughes, age 74, of Broadalbin, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville. She was born January 20, 1950, in Amsterdam, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Burchinski) Edick. She was employed at the former Johnstown Knitting Mill and was a waitress at various restaurants in the area. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends, scratching-off Lottery tickets and spoiling her grandchildren and her dogs. Linda is survived by two sons, Christopher Hughes (Lynn) of Amsterdam and John Hughes of Amsterdam; four grandchildren, Kayla, Andrew, C.J. and Jacob; a great-grandson, Colton; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Todd Hughes; a son, Shawn Hughes; four siblings, Edward Edick Jr; Beverly Rote, Patricia Langlois and Terry Edick. Linda's family wishes to thank the Sanford Home of Amsterdam for their care and concern for the year and a half that she resided there. Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, Gloversville.
