Martha L. McKinnon
May 23rd, 1941 - July 26th, 2020
Martha Mckinnon 79, of Syracuse passed away Sunday at Upstate University Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Newark New Jersey, she was a Syracuse resident for 57 years. Martha received a degree in education in 1970. Mrs. Mckinnon retired from the Syracuse City School District after 32 years of teaching and wearing many other hats, she was predeceased by her husband, Wallace L. Mckinnon Sr. in 2010. She is survived by her children: Denise Mckinnon of Richmond Virginia, Wallace Jr., Evelyn, Debra and Yvonne Mckinnon all of Syracuse; her adopted grandchildren, Edward James, Jermere, Aswaneke and Zalayacia Mckinnon all of Syracuse; along with others grandchildren and great grandchildren. Calling hours Sunday 5-7 p.m. at A. DeWitt Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service 4612 S. Salina St. (Mask must be worn! No exceptions). Funeral service will be Monday 11 a.m. for immediate family only, mask must be worn! Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Online condolences for Martha's family may be left on the funeral home website.
