September 26th, 1933 - June 26th, 2015
William Sims, age 81, passed away at Upstate Hospital, Syracuse NY, on the morning of June 26, 2015. Bill, a veteran, received a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University and his master's at University of Buffalo, NY. He was person with a calm spirit who will be missed by many. He is predeceased by his third wife, Dorothy Gowin Sims, and survived by his son, Darrell (Marianne) Sims; daughter, Anola Gowin; grandson, Darrell L. Sims Jr., granddaughter, Dominique Sims; brothers, Robert (Lillian) Ratliff, Larry Johnson, Elester Johnson, Richard Johnson, Robert Sims; and sisters, Clara Johnson, Artena Ahammer, Synetta Sleet and Mary Lela Sims. A memorial service in the manner of Friends (Quakers) is to be held at Poplar Ridge Friends Meetinghouse on July 18 at 2:00.
