MaryJane Reynolds Mamed, widow of Walter Falcao Mamed, died peacefully on 5/22/20 at Countryside Manor in Bristol, CT. Born in 1928 to parents Frances (Dornberger) and Mathew Otis Reynolds, MaryJane spent most of her life in Syracuse. Prior to her marriage in 1956, she was a clerk at Smith Corona. After she married and had her family, she became a crossing guard for the Syracuse Police Department. She volunteered her time at Our Lady of Lourdes as well as the Power Squadron and Coast Guard Auxiliaries. MaryJane is survived by brother Mathew Reynolds, sons, Walter R., Wayne R. (MaryJane), and Earl R. (Nancy), along with grandchildren, Matthew (Katherine), Melissa (Anthony), Jason, Brian (Kristina), Nicole (Bill) and great grandchildren Leah, Hayden, Brandon, Nathan, Sylvia, and Harmony. She was predeceased by her sister Laura (Betty) Polly and brother Tom Reynolds. In lieu of flowers, please make a tribute donation in her name to the Alzheimers Association. Due to Covid Pandemic rules, there will only be a private graveside service at Onondaga Valley Cemetery at 11:00AM on Friday, May 29, 2020. Masks are requested to be worn, and social distancing will be managed by the OVC Staff. A celebration of her life will be planned at a future time.
