Luis E. Gonzalez
July 3rd, 1963 - October 24th, 2020
Luis E. Gonzalez, 57, passed away with his wife at his side after an illness. He was born in Syracuse, but moved to Homestead, FL in his youth. Then hurricane Andrew blew him back to Syracuse in 1992. Luis never met a person that he didn't try to make laugh. He spent many years cooking at Las Delicias with his friend, Francisco Rodriguez at the restaurant, the Fair and summer festivals. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; daughter Elisia; seven siblings, Mirta (Victor) Vega, Virginia (Juan Muniz) Gonzalez, Tina Gonzalez, Mirian Gonzalez, Titi Muniz, David Gonzalez and Antonio Gonzalez; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Calling Hour will be Thursday, 10/29 from 4PM to 5PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse, NY. Services will follow immediately at 5PM at the funeral home. Contributions in Luis' name many be made to Upstate Cancer Center, Upstate Foundation, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
