Margaret "Peggy" Elizabeth Hartman
February 12th, 1931 - October 20th, 2021
Margaret “Peggy” Elizabeth (Flynn) Hartman, 90, of Syracuse, passed away on October 20, at home with her loving family. She was born in February 1931 in Troy, NY to the late John J. Flynn, Sr., and Filomena “Frances” (Pascucci) Burke. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by: her husband, Arthur J. Hartman, Sr.; and siblings, Frances, Christopher, and John J. Flynn, Jr.. Surviving are: children; Arthur J. (Clarice) Hartman, Jr. and Karen (Jerry) Campbell; grandchildren, Jessica and John Deer, and Cristine (Brett Pate) Hartman; as well as six great-grandchildren, Maresa Helu, Arthur, Donald, Ava, Dominick, & Ryder Deer. Peggy was a member of Post #1468 Valley Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and has served as a Past President. She loved to bowl in her youth, water ski on one leg, cook meatballs and golumpkis, “pulltabs”, and telling people the business. Peggy took care of every person she ever met and instilled those qualities into her family. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 26 from 5-7 pm at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will be held on Wednesday October 27 at 11 am at Onondaga Valley Cemetery. A special thanks goes to the first responders at Fire Station #18.
