Martin "Marty" E. George, Sr.
November 17th, 1949 - September 26th, 2022
Martin E. George, Sr., 72, of East Syracuse, NY, member of the Oneida Indian Nation, passed away on September 26, 2022. Marty worked at Carrier Corp. in Syracuse for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2001. He was known for detailing and cleaning his car, enjoyed listening to local bands, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is predeceased by: his parents, Randolph and Ruby (Webster) George; and siblings, Michael, Edmund, Donna, and Marilyn George. Marty is survived by: his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia (LaRose) George; children, Martin, Jr., and Donna (James) Dillon; six grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Aiden, Alyssa, Jacob, and Nathan; two great grandchildren, Oliver and Conner; siblings, William, Lowell, Carl, Ronald, Adrienne, and Diane; as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit Martin at his daughter's home at 311 Tilden Dr., East Syracuse, NY 13057, on Thursday September 29, from 2pm to 6pm. A funeral service will be held at the home on Friday at Noon. Following the service there will be a procession to Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
