Elva May Furze

Elva Furze, 88, of Liverpool, passed away on October 11, 2022. She was born in 1934 to the late Joseph Henry Smith and Irene Aretha Taylor. Elva married Richard H. Furze in 1951 and together they began a family. She retired after more than 25 years with the Syracuse City Schools, as the Baker for the District. Elva enjoyed sewing and gardening; and often spent summers at Brennan's Beach. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by: her loving husband, Richard H. Furze; daughter, Debra Furze; grandsons, Jason "Furs" Furze and Richard "Rickey" Furze; and many of her siblings. Surviving are: children, Richard D. (Cathy Ure) Furze, Edward Furze, Cheryl (Rich Hanlon) Furze; grandchildren: Christopher, Steven, and Darrick Furze, Carlie Read, and Brian Frost, Jr.; many great grandchildren; one sister, Marcia Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews.
