Jodi L. Brockway

Jodi L. Brockway passed away on October 27, 2023 at the age of 57, after a long and courageous battle with Severe Aplastic Anemia. Jodi was the beloved wife and best friend to her husband, Joseph Brockway. They were married for 23 amazing years. She was the proud mother to her 3 daughters, Megan Meyer, Marissa Meyer, and Cheyanne Brockway. She is also survived by sisters Donell Groth, Linda (David) Mclean, Karen Garm, Kim (Matt) Blanchard; brothers David Gondeck, Richard (Jamie) Gondeck, Bruce (Terri) Gondeck and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Benjamin and Carol Blum as well as her brother Billy. Jodi was born in Syracuse NY and a lifetime resident of Lafayette. She truly was a self made woman. Jodi’s stubborn strength pushed her through all of life’s adventures. Jodi worked a few different careers like Robert P Rothman Law office and Nice N Easy Grocery Shops to name a couple. She was loved by everyone she worked with and came into contact with. One thing that anyone who met or knew Jodi could agree on was her amazing smile. When she would smile it would lighten ones soul. You knew without a doubt that she was a kind, giving, caring, strong spirited woman who would help you in anyway she could. She was always the brightest light in the room. Jodi had many hobbies and things she loved to do, but her most favorite was making memories with family and friends. If Jodi talked about an upcoming vacation everyone knew it was to her favorite place, Disney World and of course a stop in North Carolina. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the family on Saturday November 4th, from 10am to 12pm at the Lafayette Alliance Church located at 6069 US-20, Lafayette NY 13084 with service immediately following.
