Ann "Nancy" A. McCoy

Ann A. McCoy, 89, of Stony Point, NY, known to her friends and family as Nancy, passed away peacefully at her home on December 18, 2019 surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on October 16, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to Michael & Beatrice (Burke) Flynn. Nancy went to Katherine Gibbs School and worked at Pfizer in Brooklyn as a secretary. This is where she met the love of her life Bill McCoy. They were married on February 2, 1957. They moved to Stony Point in 1960 to raise their family. She later worked as an Administrative Assistant for the North Rockland School District at NRHS for over 20 years. Nancy loved having family around, especially her grandchildren. Love and laughter hold our family together. She is survived by many who will miss her dearly including her loving husband of 62 years, William of Stony Point, her beloved children Eileen Wood and husband Keith of Cornwall, her son William McCoy and wife Lisa of Highland Mills, daughter Kathleen Shroba of Stony Point and daughter-in-law Dawn Owens McCoy of Monroe; her cherished and adored grandchildren Kristen (Frank), Briana, Kevin, Lianne, Christy Ann, Billy, Tara, Patrick, Kelsey and Kelly; her great-granddaughter Hannah; her caring siblings, Michael “Burke” Flynn of El Paso, TX who will be 100 years old this month and Joan Flynn of Highland, NY. Also surviving are numerous nieces & nephews. She is reunited in Heaven with her sister Monica Flynn and her sons, Michael D. and Richard G. McCoy. The family will be receiving friends & family on December 22 from 2–7 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY 10923. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ann’s memory to the Richard G. McCoy Foundation, allowing us to provide scholarships to graduating seniors at both North Rockland HS and Monroe Woodbury HS.
