Eugene R. Woska

Eugene (Gene) R. Woska, 64 of West Haverstraw passed away on March 23, 2022. Born on October 27, 1957 was the son of Elizabeth “Arlene” Woska and Eugene A. Woska. He was a long time resident of Haverstraw, attended St. Peter’s School, Haverstraw Middle School and graduated from North Rockland High School in 1976. He most recently resided in Walnut Hill, West Haverstraw, NY. Gene was employed as an engineer by New York State at Letchworth Village from 1976 until he retired in 2012. Gene was an avid reader, fan of vintage movies, Blues music, the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. As an active member of the Haverstraw B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #877, he enjoyed socializing with members, bartending, assisting with parties as well as community events. Gene is survived by his sister Karen Michella and her husband Ralph from Fishkill, NY, brother Bob and his wife Sue, from Wurtsboro, NY, brother Billy and his partner Darlene from North Port, FL, nieces Kim, Alison, Kerri and Stephanie, nephews Rob, Billy and Zachary. Arrangements have been made by T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Haverstraw. A private burial will take place at his family’s discretion.
