John J. Corcoran

John J. Corcoran passed away peacefully on 12/30/2023 with his family by his side. A devoted husband of over 65 years to Teresa (nee Reynolds) beloved father to James (Kellie),John (Ann Marie).Kenneth (Corrine), Diane (Dennis), Steven, Theresa (Joe). Cherished grandfather to Krystal Lee (Joe), Johnny (Ariel), Matthew, Michael, Alexis (Sean), Ryan. Justin, Victoria, Veronica, Joseph and great grandfather to Jordan and Gianella; Loving brother of Joanie Hanahoe. He is predeceased by his parents James and Margaret, his 2 brothers, 6 sisters and son-ln-law Dennis. John was born in Manhattan NYC on 11/2/1931. A veteran of the Korean War. Worked for over 32 years as a Car Inspector for the New York City Transit Authority. Prior to him moving to Rockland Co., he was a long time resident and parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish. A member of the Haverstraw Elk Lodge #877 and parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. May he rest in peace. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7th, 2024 from 2pm-6pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 8th, 2024, 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Research Hospital would be appreciated. The Mass will be live streamed though the Church of Immaculate Conception Stony Point Facebook Page.
