Joyce E. Barbian (nee Beeheim), age 89 and a lifelong resident of Waukesha, gained her angels wings on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at AngelsGrace Hospice. She was born on May 26, 1929, the daughter of Arthur and Bessie (nee Smith) Beeheim. For many years, Joyce worked as a secretary for Waukesha Foundry until she retired. Joyce had a joy for life. She was a member of the Eagles Club, the Red Hat Ladies, and St. William Parish. Joyce enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Berkshire, traveling to Arkansas, watching Dancing with the Stars and American Idol with her friends. She also appreciated a glass of wine and Brandy Manhattans. Most of all, Joyce loved spending time with her family. Joyce held a special connection with her granddaughter Melissa and step-daughter Jill. She looked forward to her weekly wine and dinner nights with Jill and her lunch and shopping trips with Melissa. She moved in with Melissa up until the time of her death. Joyce will be remembered by many for her warm and out-going personality. Joyce’s life was blessed by two devoted husbands, the late Glenn Kruse and the late Joseph Barbian. She was a loving mom to Doug (Patsy) Kruse and the late, Cheryl (Russ) Ruebesam; she was also devoted to her step-children, Gregory, Larry (Gini), Ken Barbian, and Jill Bartlein; Joyce was the proud grandmother to Robert (Meagan) Frank, Melissa Aperi, Andrew (Amanda) Frank, Tanya (Chris) Kruse-Ruck, Emily (Jesse) Rustman and Angelina Barbian; Alex and Kyle Bartlein, and Emma and Andrew Barbian. She was an exceptional great-gram to Jacob and Ava Aperi, Isabella and Faith Frank, Charlie and Sammy Frank, Owen and Morgen Ruck, Seeley, Gladys and Eunice Rustman, and Hazel Barbian. She is also the beloved auntie to many nieces and nephews, especially Cynthia (Donald) Jansta and Bill Beeheim. Joyce will be truly missed by her four legged companions, Maddie and Vinny. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert (Phyliss) Beeheim. The visitation for Joyce will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. memorial mass at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N.
