Memorial

Stacey Louise Payne was born on the first day of Spring at Swindon, Wiltshire in England. She died of a heart attack at her home in Waukesha on July 29. She is survived and remembered with love by her family: mother, Jo Ann Payne; brother, Stephen Payne; sister-in-law, Sandy Anderson-Payne; nephew, Chris Payne and niece/goddaughter, Carolyn Payne. Also survived by uncles and aunts: Earl & Jeanne Bailey; Richard & Phyllis Erickson; Alan & Jeanette Erickson; Monte & Beth Cole; and many cousins. Her father, Miles Payne, grandparents and twin infant sisters predeceased Stacey. Stacey was baptized a child of God and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Stacey was a graduate of Waukesha North HS, earned an associate accounting degree from WCTC and was employed at Super Natural Distributors for many years. She found her calling in numbers, and was the family historian when it came to dates, ages and what happened when. (She also corrected her family regarding times and dates when some of the family "mis-remembered'.) She found special joy in her niece and nephew and enjoyed family events with them. Stacey enjoyed sports, was a member with her sister-in-law of a softball team in the early 80’s and, in later years, continued her interest in national and local teams; she knew all the numbers and rankings and was always ready for a game of cards with family and friends. Stacey had a soft spot in her heart for animals and was touched by news articles regarding animal cruelty. Stacey will be remembered for her kind and gentle heart and competitive spirit. The visitation for Stacey will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Andy Fetters will be officiating.
