Raymond Reed
October 18th, 1947 - February 11th, 2021
Raymond Karl Reed, of Waukesha, passed away on Thursday February 11, 2021 at the age of 73. Ray was born to Karl and Doris (nee Opel) Reed on October 18, 1947, in Freeport, IL. He married Melody (nee Boeke) on October 7, 1967, in Freeport, IL and moved to New London, CT, where they started their family. After having returned to living in Freeport, he and his family relocated to Waukesha, WI in 1987. Ray was a proud US Coast Guard service member (Quartermaster), Carpenter, avid and professional Photographer and Software programmer / analyst until his retirement in 2014. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed, cycling, camping, birding and Jeep off-roading. He was also an ever-present cheerleader for the activities of his children and grandchildren which included plays, track meets, band concerts, softball games, football games and mountain bike races. Ray will be dearly missed by his four children; Michael (Donna) Reed, Michelle Reed, Melinda Davis, and Mandy Morris; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Alicia, Samantha, Emma, Austin, Erin, and Evelyn; his siblings Karlyn (Alex) Jacobs and John (Karen) Reed and by many beloved family and friends. His wife Melody and his parents preceded him in death. The first visitation for Raymond will be held on Tuesday February 16, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Cesarz Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. The second visitation for Raymond will be held on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at 1:30pm at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery, 2514 IL-26, Freeport, IL 61032.
