Mary "ANITA" Martin
June 29th, 1931 - December 9th, 2014
Anita Martin lifelong Waukesha native was reunited with her husband on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at the age of 83 years. She was born on June 29, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Otillia Muehleck. She married the love of her life, Robert F. "Bob" Martin in Waukesha on May 19, 1951. They met in grade school. Anita and Bob owned the Hook & Shell Tap on Main St. in the early 70's. Upon retiring from the bar, Anita worked for 12 years as a greeter at Sam's Club. During her lifetime, before becoming ill, she was an active member of St. William Catholic Church where she was on the Common Council and enjoyed being a Christian Mother and Euchrist Minister for 30 years. She also enjoyed being a part of a card club. Most of all, Anita loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great - grandchild. Anita will be sadly missed by her sons, Daniel (Barbara) Martin and Stephen (Dawn) Martin; grandchildren, Ian, Connor, Tyler, Brandon and Chelsey Martin; step-grandchildren, Jordan and Keri Aberman and Annalyse Lapajenko; great-grandchild, Isabella McWilliams; sisters, Katie Garvens and Sister Barbara Muehleck; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Couillard and brother-in-law, Tom Nettesheim. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; granddaughter, Stacy; sister, Betty Nettesheim and in-laws, John and Shirley Martin, Lawrence and Judy Martin, Aaron Couillard and Joris Garvens. The visitation for Anita will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. until the time of the 11:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Curt Frederick will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Anita's name are appreciated to St. Clare Monastery, 421 S. 4th St., Sauk Rapids, MN 56319-1898, St. Vincent De Paul, 818 W. Sunset Dr., Waukesha, WI 53189 or St. William Catholic Church (see address above).
