Of Waukesha died on Monday, June 2, 2014 at home at the age of 86 years. He was born on February 25, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI the son of George and Marie (Nitche) Uecke. Bob married his wife Rosie (Wernitznig) on his birthday, in 1963. He made a career as a salesperson in car sales and in the beer industry. Bob was a regional salesperson in the U.P. of Michigan and locally in the Pewaukee office for the Schlitz Brewing Co. After many years, he then became the sales manager for Federl Distributors in Milwaukee until his retirement in 1990. Bob was a music enthusiast of the Big Band era and loved to share it with family and friends over the years. He was also a handyman but his greatest passion was spending time with his three grandchildren in his retirement; Benjamin Stark, Alyssa Stark and Sawyer Uecke. Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Rosie; his children, Robert (Nancy) Jr. of Fox Point, Eric (Michelle Christianson) of Bayview and Heidi (Scot) Stark of Nashotah; his brother, George (Marsha) Uecke; his brothers-in-law, Hans and Gottfried (Heidi) and sister-in-law, Elsa Wernitznig all of Europe; dearest friends, Guenther and Else Theimer of Germany, the Greguska families of Waukesha and Milwaukee and Gilbert Bruckmueller of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Martin Kern, for the outstanding care he provided Bob over the past 30 years; and the great nursing care of his hospice nurse, Karla & staff at Prohealth. The visitation for Bob will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral service on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha. Entombment will take place on Saturday, June 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha (please meet inside the gates off of Prairie Ave.
