John C. Stuhr

John Christopher Stuhr, of Menomonee Falls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls with his loving wife at his side at the age of 74 years. He was born in Waukesha, on March 7, 1939, the son of Christopher John and Erna Ruth (Katzner) Stuhr. John was baptized at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha. He was a graduate of Carroll College. John was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sussex, and was a past member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha. John retired from Wisconsin Lutheran College. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Nancy. Also surviving are cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife; Diane Stuhr. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 2:30 p.m. until the 5:00 p.m. funeral service at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church W244 N6383 Weaver Drive, Sussex, Wisconsin 53089. Rev. Bruce Marggraf and Rev. Dustin Yahnke will be officiating. Entombment will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of John may be given to WELS Kingdom Workers-Greater Milwaukee Chapter, 2323 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin 53226, or to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. (Please see address above).
