Of Germantown, born to eternal life on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at the age of 60. Mike married his best friend and soul mate Ruthie on Sept. 30, 1995. He was a member and guitarist at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He started his career at St. Luke's Hospital as a surgical monitor technician and went on to work for GE Healthcare as a product support manager. Mike will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Ruth (nee Schmitz) formerly Stuesse; his children, Jason (Itzel), Eric (Anna), Kim (Jeff) Young, Craig (Joyce) Stuesse and Kevin (Sherry) Stuesse; grandchildren, Alan, Kalli and Hazel; his siblings, Mary Jo (Jon) Schoenbeck, Mark (Dorothy) Zimmer, Rev. Anthony Zimmer and Peggy (Christopher) Klein; mother- in-law, Barbara Schmitz; brother-in-law, Rev. James Schmitz and sisters-in-law, Jean (Dan) Marinello, Marge (Ed) Lipinski, Kathy (Rick) Marinello; Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alberta Zimmer, sister-in-law, Denise Schmitz. The visitation for Mike will be held on Wed., Aug. 7, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a second visitation on Thurs., Aug. 8, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, W280 N2101 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee 53072 with Rev. Anthony Zimmer and Rev. Ken Knippel officiating. Entombment will be at 1:30 p.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield (meet in the green parking area). In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Boniface Catholic Church, W204 N11940 Goldendale Rd., Germantown, WI 53022 or the charity of your choice. *Please see St. Anthony on The Lake Catholic Church Website for directions
