Robert Floyd Zamora

Robert Floyd †œBob†� Zamora Bob Zamora was born in Trinidad, Colorado to Floyd and Julia Zamora. He had one sister Eleanor. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Marie, three sons, Bob (Carol), David (Lori), Tony, seven grandchildren, Alicia, Christopher, Adrian, Anton, and Julia, Lucas Johnson and Danika Johnson and one great grandson Ashlin. He attended Holy Trinity Grade School and graduated from Trinidad High School in 1951. After graduation he immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was granted an honorable discharge shortly before finishing Basic Training in San Diego, California. His enlistment physical missed the fact that he had scoliosis. Upon his return to Trinidad he worked for Las Animas County as a road crew truck driver, the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, and for the City of Trinidad where he managed the Utilities Department. In 1970 he moved his family to Denver. He worked at the King Sooper Produce Warehouse as a forklift operator until his retirement in 1987. He was a great handyman, enjoyed woodworking, clock repair, coin collecting, motorcycles, restoring cars, and when he was younger, playing trumpet. Bob was a member of St. Anne's Men's Club. A Rosary will be held on Feb. 25, 7:00 pm. Mass on Feb. 26, 10:00 am both will be held at Shrine of St. Anne 7555 Grant Place, Arvada.
