Arnold "Arnie" Pillsbury
August 21st, 1924 - June 11th, 2015
Arnold Pillsbury, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the age of 90 years. He was born on August 21, 1924 in Friendship, WI, the son of James and Carolina. Arnold married Arline M. McMurtrie on June 21, 1951. Arnold worked as a welder for International Harvester, retiring after 45 years of dedicated service. He was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army. Arnold was also a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, and he loved to get together with his siblings to play a game of horseshoes and poker. Arnold's door was always open to lend a hand to anyone in need. Arnold will be sadly missed by his children, Pam (John) Detlof, Arnold Pillsbury Jr., Dennis (Corrine) Pillsbury and Delbert (Cindy) Pillsbury; grandchildren, Jason (Colleen) Detlof, Erika Detlof, Tyler Pillsbury, Travis (Laura) Pillsbury, Melissa (Jordan) Robbins, and Tracy Pillsbury; great-grandchildren, Camryn, Caleb, Jordan Jr., Olivia, and Aliyah; brothers, Albert and Jimmy; and sisters, Phebe, Juanita and Edna. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arline; grandson, Brandon; daughter-in-law, Patsy; brothers, Elmer, Carl, Art, Harold, Edward; sisters, Bertha, Sarah, Dorothy, Caroline and Beatrice. A visitation for Arnold will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. A second visitation will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to AngelsGrace Hospice, N74 W35908 Servants Way, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
