Daniel Patrick Corcoran
June 24th, 2016
Daniel "Dan" Patrick Corcoran, 64, of Waukesha, Wisconsin found peace on June 24th, 2016 after a long illness. Dan was born in South Milwaukee to the late Gregory Sr. and Dorothy (McIntire) Corcoran, the youngest of seven children. He graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1970 and married Nancy Sklenar on November 27th, 1982. He retired from Custom Production Grinding in 2014, and had previously been employed by V&L Tool. Dan was involved in many things throughout his life including being on the Board of Directors for the Waukesha Training Center, U.S. Naval Reserves, and Test Chairman of the Greater Milwaukee Figure Skating Club. He was a die-hard Green Bay Packer Fan and stockholder. He loved working outside in the garden raising world's tastiest tomatoes, making the most amazing peanut brittle during the holidays, and spending time with his family. However, his greatest accomplishments and titles were being a father to his daughters and Papa to his grandchildren. Dan is survived by his wife, Nancy Corcoran of Waukesha; his daughters Kelly (Charles) Raymond of Edgerton and Kristina (Daniel) Neumann of La Crosse; his four grandchildren, Ian, Sean, and Emmett Raymond, and Brooklyn Neumann; his siblings Michael (Sue) Corcoran of Waukesha, Anne (Jim) Braun of Milwaukee, Gregory Jr. (Aggie) Corcoran of Waukesha, and Sally (William) Fritz of Waukesha; mother-in-law Jarlean Sklenar of Waukesha; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and his special dog who never left his side, Buddy. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Colleen Barry, brother-in-law Daniel Barry, sister Mary Wamser, and father-in-law William Sklenar, Sr. A visitation for Dan will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. with the memorial Mass at 12:00 p.m. Noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave.Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Howard Haase will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
