Josephine "Josie" T. Diekfuss (nee Bralich), lifelong resident of Waukesha, passed away at AngelsGrace on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the age of 86. She was born on October 19, 1931, the daughter of Simon and Appalonia (nee Nagel) Bralich. On June 14, 1952, Josie married Kenneth Diekfuss. She worked as a personal representative for Waukesha State Bank for 25 years and served as treasurer for the town of Waukesha for 20 years. Josie loved chocolate, gardening, and flowers. Most of all, she cherished her family and treasured spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Josephine will be deeply missed by her sons, Jeff (Diane) Diekfuss and Jimmy (Patti) Diekfuss; grandchildren, Ken (Katy), Jed (Teri), Jacob (Kelyn), Tracy (Steven Roden), and Alex (Jennifer); great- grandsons, Maxwell and Cameron; brothers, Fred (Irene) Bralich and Donald (Rosie); sister, Pauline Lapp. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth, who died on March 4, 2003; sisters, Florence, Anita, and Elizabeth; brothers, Andrew, Matthew, and Thomas. The first visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. A second visitation for Josie will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home (see address above). Entombment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Josie's family thanks the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice for their compassionate care.
