James J Jim"" Pace
September 15th, 1924 - March 8th, 2018
James "Jim" Jackson Pace, age 93, of Waukesha, WI passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at his home. Jim was born to John and Alberdina (Vander Muellen) Pace in Dubuque Iowa on September 15, 1924. Jim graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1947. He married the love of his life, Janet Golemgeske, on June 18, 1949. Jim was a member of the 4th Division, United States Marines, Company B, and received a purple heart for his service in the South Pacific during World War II. He was employed as a rural route carrier for the United States Postal Service for thirty years. Jim spent most of his retirement fishing at the lake cottage he and Janet owned near Plainfield, WI as he enjoyed time with his grandchildren. Jim is survived by his wife of 68 years, Janet; sons, Jeff (Loreen), Jay (Laura), and Joel Pace; grandchildren, Roxanne (Nate) Ende, Christine (Travis) Seeger, Chad Pace, Courtney (Kevin) Shouldice, Sondra, Kyle, Alexine, Cody, and Molly Pace; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lauren Ende, Taylor and Brody Seeger, Melody Pace, and Bayleigh Shouldice. Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Ester. The visitation for Jim will be held from 4:00p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6:00p.m. on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, Cremation and Pre-Planning Services is serving the family.
