Patrick Michael Sullivan

Patrick Michael Sullivan, Delafield On Sunday, April 15 Patrick found eternal peace. He was born on August 22,1962, to Edward and Irene (Alderson) Sullivan. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1980 as Valedictorian and a member of the State Championship Football team. Throughout his educational and professional life he had a natural gift for mathematics. Patrick graduated from UW-Whitewater and earned his MBA at Marquette University. Following college he worked in banking and insurance. He had a long, successful career at the corporate headquarters of Northwestern Mutual Insurance in Milwaukee. In 1991 Patrick married Bethany Renaud. He leaves two beloved children, John, (Jack) and Katharine, (Kate). His devotion for his family was his greatest joy. He spent winter and summer months passing on his snow and water skiing skills to his children. Whether boating on Wisconsin lakes or flying down the slopes in Colorado, he was a talented athlete his entire life. Besides his early morning runs he was an avid woodland hiker. He spent many peaceful vacations hiking with his family in state and national parks. Patrick is survived by his wife of 26 years, Bethany and his beloved children, Jack and Kate, his mother Irene, his brothers Tim (Diane) and Michael (Monica Engels) Sullivan and his sisters Deborah, Margaret, Amy Sullivan and Bridget (Wayne) Garland. He is also survived by his father-in law William (Barbara) Renaud, brother-in-law Thad Renaud and sister-in-laws Aimee (JD) Romero, Bobbie Skaggs Renaud, and Angela Costabile-Sullivan. He is further survived by nephews and nieces: Jake, Ryan (Kim) and Brent (Toni) Sullivan; Olivia Von Blomberg (Kayla), Megan and Eion Sullivan, Telsa Garland, Danielle and Nicole Renaud, Amanda Parks, Alexis, Addison, and Andrea Romero. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Edward, his brothers Thomas and Sean Sullivan and his mother-in-law Jo Slayton. Nitardy Funeral Homes assisted the family with a private service. A public celebration of Patrick’s life will be held this summer, the time of the year that brought the biggest smile to his face. Individuals wishing to remember Patrick are encouraged to contribute to a college fund being established for his children.
