Charles Frederick Smith

Charles F. Smith, Jr. July 6, 1931 - August 15, 2020 Charlie Smith, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Collier Hospice Facility at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Charlie is survived by wife Virginia, daughter Lauraine (Oder) and son-in-law Don Oder, son Andrew and daughter-in-law Julie (Smith) and their two sons Bryden and Ian. He is also survived by his siblings David, Susan, Donald and Annie. Charlie was a longstanding pillar of the Arvada community, as owner of Goodberry†™s Restaurant, President of the Colorado Wyoming Restaurant Association and Board Member of the National Restaurant Association. Charlie volunteered at the Red Cross and Senior Resources, and was actively involved in many activities in the neighborhood. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held by invitation only at Aspen Mortuary at 6370 Union Street, Arvada, Colorado 80004 on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
