Hazel Viola Hunter

On Friday January 8, 2021 Hazel V. Hunter passed away in Lakewood, Colorado at the age of 79 from Heart Failure. Hazel was born on December 7, 1941 in Blanca, Colorado. Born in a small town her family lived in many places in Colorado. When her mother married her 2nd husband Wilbur Balph they brought the family up to Arvada, Colorado and settled there. She graduated from Arvada HighSchool in 1959. She loved her family. She was a devoted daughter and mother. Always helping her family and friends showing everyone by example how to live life. An accomplished career as a telecommunications engineer and teacher in that industry gave her the opportunity to influence countless peoples professional lives. In that process made some treasured personal life long friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Sallee StepFather Wilbur C. Balph and mother Edith L. Balph. Her sisters, Elizabeth Morine of Kalispell, Montana Blanche Sallee Jaroso,Colorado She is survived by her daughter Kristine Hunter. Sister Bonnie Newland of Arvada, CO brother John Sallee of Lochbuie, CO sister Esther Summers of Derby, Kansas. Services were not held for the safety of family and friends due to the COVID-19 pandemic.She was buried in the Arvada cemetery in Arvada, CO.
