Sharon Baldwin Knight

June 9, 1962 – June 23, 2024

Sharon Baldwin Knight, 62, a beloved wife, devoted mother, grandmother, & cherished friend to many, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 23rd 2024. She passed peacefully at her home in Charlotte.

Sharon was born in Greenville, South Carolina however, she hails from Wichita Falls Texas where she would later graduate from Rider High School & give birth to her only son Brandon, her pride and joy. She came to Charlotte over 30 years ago where she met her husband, Frank. They soon welcomed their babygirl, Summer.

She was a woman of many trades & lots of titles. For the last 7 years, she was an employee of Food Lion in Charlotte, where she had many coworkers and loyal customers whom she loved dearly! The most important title she carried with her was “Mom” & “Grandma”. She had two beautiful, amazing granddaughters Caroline, and Savannah, that were the light of her life! She would tell any and everyone who would listen how proud she was of them and her children & all their accomplishments. In addition, she loved her little Chiweenie dog Gracie like another child and couldn’t wait to get home to her every day.

Sharon never met a stranger and was the kindest most generous person that there ever was. She would light up any room she walked into with her warm arms and infectious love. Her beautiful smile impacted everyone she crossed paths with and she will be missed by many and loved always. We will carry her bright spirit with us forever.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Baldwin. She is survived by her father, Jim Baldwin(Charlene) & her brother Jimmy(Yuko) as well as her daughter, Summer Knight and her son, Brandon Jones(Jessica) bearing her granddaughters Caroline & Savannah. She also leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Frank Knight, & many extended family members who were all equally as devastated by her loss.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at Tribute & Tallent funeral home on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers Sharon would be honored if your contributions were to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation as it was near and dear to her heart.
