Peter Dow Fernald

Peter Dow Fernald, age 64 of Arden Hills, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on June 4. He was preceded in death by Father Rex, Mother Phyllis, Stepfather David Schultz and Nephew Cody Fernald. He is survived by siblings Rex Fernald (Karen), Polly Froehlich (Dan) and David Fernald (Luis). Nieces and Nephews, Amy Hertle (Ben), Julie Crompton (Sean), Sarah Froehlich, Shaun Citrowski (Desi), and Rex-Dallas Fernald (Julianna), and six Grandnieces, two Grandnephews, and many friends.

Peter was born May 24, 1960, to Rex and Phyllis Fernald in St Paul, MN. He graduated from St Paul Central High School in 1979 and began a 41 year career as a mail handler with the State of Minnesota. Pete loved children and they adored him. He also was a lover of all animals. He had such a kind heart. He loved spending time at the family cabin and also at the NorthShore of Lake Superior.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 5:00-7:00 PM at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave, St. Paul. Memorial Service to be held Wednesday, June 19, 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 1895 Laurel Ave, St Paul, with lunch to follow. Internment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville.
