Alfred "Al" Eugene Ott
March 8th, 1936 - June 6th, 2024
Alfred (Al) E. Ott passed away on June 6, 2024, at 88 years old, in Tucson, Arizona and was born on March 8, 1936, in Delavan, Illinois. Al had multiple careers during his life. When Al lived in Illinois he served in the Army, worked as an investigator for a credit company, became an insurance agent and began his own independent insurance agency before becoming a real estate agent. Al moved with his family to Tucson in 1986 and worked as a real estate broker and then sales manager for Dominion Homes and Canoa Homes.
Al enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren, reading, traveling, dining out, watching movies, classic cars, Volkswagens, and finding treasure at garage sales. Al was known for his humor, pranks, wisdom, warmth and when he retired wearing shorts every day.
Al was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Al leaves behind his wife, Christina (Tina) Ott, children, Eric Ott (Linda), Beth Bustamante, Julie Newman (Patrick), Peter Ott (Anna), Amy Jo Taormina (Salvadore), grandchildren, Alex Ott, Riley Ott (Nicole), Wayne Newman (Margo), Will Newman, Jules Ott and Bo Ott, and great granddaughters, Alianna Riney and Henley Newman.
Al was preceded in death his parents, Meryl Ott and Beryl Hood, brothers Bobby and Wayne, sister Josephine Kingsland, and grandson Samuel Riney.
A Committal Service for Al will be held on July 18, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana, 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ 85653. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
