Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and loved ones, on June 23, 2024, as a resident of Thornton, CO.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Josephine Trujillo, her sister Mary Trujillo, and brothers-in-law Charles Sisneros and Pete Vigil.
She leaves behind her husband Andrew Romero Sr., daughter, April Trujillo (Robert), son, Andrew Romero Jr., grandchildren, Blake Trujillo (Bobby), Andrew Romero III, Brandon Romero (Ryley), great grandson, Alyus Romero, and five sisters, Christella, Antoinette (Frank), Daisy (Leroy), Betty (Stuart), and Arlene and many nieces and nephews.
Doris loved singing her heart out at karaoke with all her friends, going to bingo and playing her horse races, cheering on her Denver Broncos, and keeping her husband, Andy, busy all the time going out and having fun. She was loved by all who knew her and radiated sass, laughter, and joy. She has left a big hole in many hearts and will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with viewing from 10:00am - 11:00am and Mass to follow at 11:00am, Friday, July 12, 2024.
Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery will take place at a later date. This page will be updated with that information once it has been scheduled.
