Our beloved and precious Liam Andrew Lake was suddenly and tragically taken from our earthly world on June 25, 2024. Liam was born on May 6, 2006 at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Liam attended Brichta Elementary School, Harelson Elementary School, Cross Middle School and Canyon Del Oro High School. He graduated from Canyon Del Oro High School on May 14, 2024. Liam was an avid swimmer; swimming on the Canyon Del Oro High School swim team during his junior and senior high school years. He demonstrated love and commitment to the sport of swimming and his fellow swim teammates; even earning a “Letter” in the sport. Liam was college-bound with the established plan of enrolling at The University of Arizona in the Fall of 2024. Liam’s career interests and goals included Sports Media Writing, Business Economics, and Finance. Liam was a patriot; he was considering joining the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Navy with the aspiration of becoming a pilot.

Liam was passionate, as well as extremely knowledgeable about all sports, particularly Football, Basketball, and F1 Auto Racing. He would often impress and astonish his family members by reciting extensive details and facts about Sports and the players he knew and loved. Liam enjoyed fishing, hiking, weight-lifting and riding Jet-Skis. He loved the ocean, spending many hours on sandy beaches during childhood trips to Mexico, California, and Florida. Liam had an extremely strong sense of love for his family and friends. Liam had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. His beautiful smile will not soon be forgotten.

Liam possessed the God-given gift of the profound ability to exhibit compassion and selflessness towards everyone that he encountered. Liam personified many virtues including integrity, kindness, love, humility, generosity and strength. Liam’s natural ability to be selfless and considerate of others was intensely felt by all of those whose lives he touched. His sweet, respectful disposition and caring nature earned him many friends throughout his short life. Many of his friends and family describe his as having had a Pure Heart. His loving and gentle presence will be missed by all who knew him. Liam will be painfully missed; yet remembered forever by his many friends and family members. Liam’s legacy will remain as one of Light and Love. Above all, his memory will be a testament for all left behind to lead lives of love and integrity.

Liam is survived by his Mother Diana Lake, Father Scott Lake, Sister Gabriella Lake, Stepfather Jamie “JT” Turner, Stepsisters Marin and Rylee Turner, Paternal Grandparents Roger and Judy Lake, His Aunts Maria Cecilia De La Fuenta (Mario), Yvonne Boyed Arden, Uncle Walter Boyed (Veronica), Cousins: George Arden III, Ulysses Arden, Lynden Arden, Harrison Arden, Sabrina De La Fuente, Andres De La Fuente, and Isaac De La Fuente. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Fernando and Gloria Boyed.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday 7/3/24 at St. Odilia's Catholic Chruch,7570 N Paseo Del Norte, Tucson, AZ 85704, at 10;30am followed by burial at Holy Hope Cemetery
