Lloyd Douglas Worley, 77, departed this life on July 4, 2024, at home in Greeley, CO. Professor Worley retired from UNC around 2016. Lloyd served as auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of The Liberal Catholic Church, Province of the USA. Lloyd was also a magician (Worley the Wizard) and founder of the SAM 292 chapter in Greeley. Additionally, he was Grand Master of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, a Christian religious organization. Lloyd said he felt he had accomplished everything he set out to do in this life.Born in Lafayette, Louisiana on September 11, 1946, Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Albert S Worley I and Doris Christy Worley and his siblings, Edna Furstenfeld andJanet Rice.Surviving Dr. Worley are his wife of 57 years, Maydean Mouton Worley, and children, Erin S W Satterlee (husband Brian Satterlee) of Greeley and Albert S Worley II of Denver; grandson,Michael Satterlee; and sister, Kimberly Worley, of Greeley.
