William "Mike" Fleming

 “THIS IS NOT MY HOME, I KNOW HEAVEN WAITS FOR ME”

It’s with great sadness that our family announces William Michael Fleming AKA (Mike Fleming) has entered heaven to be with our Lord in North Charleston, South Carolina on June 16, 2024.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Martha M. Fleming and stepchildren: Connie Bajer, Jared Bajer, Michael Bajer, and Alex Bajer. Brothers: Patrick McCoy Fleming and George Wesley Fleming. Niece: Taylor J Fleming. Nephews: George W. Fleming Jr., Andrew J. Fleming, Patrick T. Fleming, William Studebaker, and David Studebaker.

Preceded in death are parents Hubert Mitchell Fleming and Rebecca Bonds Pickens as well as brothers William (Billy) P. Fleming and Donald (Donnie) B. Fleming.

William Michael Fleming was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 31, 1943. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University and carried on becoming a Staff Sergeant in The United States Air Force. Mike Fleming was a joyful and giving man. He was a very caring family man who was loved by all who came across him. He was a man after God’s heart and faithful through all of life’s challenges. All who knew him will never forget his long kisses, strong hugs, and the occasional arm-wrestling challenge. He was passionate about God, family and Florida State Football. He loved to sing, square dance, garden and wrestle. After surviving his stroke in 1998, he still strived to live the most joyful and active life he could. He continues to live in our hearts and memories. We will always cherish the years we had together. “SEE YOU IN HEAVEN MIKEY”.

An intimate memorial service will be held on August 2, 2024 in Charleston, South Carolina.
