Obituary
Mrs. Lucille Wimberly Greene, age 83, a resident of Fern Park, Florida formally of Lake Alfred, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:41 A.M. at her home surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. Greene was born February 21, 1941 in Climax, Georgia to Clifford Wimberly and Mellie Rae (Walker) Wimberly. She was a Florida resident since the 1950's. coming from Georgia. She was a retired Citrus plant worker and member of the 40th Street Baptist Church. Lucille enjoyed singing to the radio. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers, Leonard Stevenson Wimberly, Clifford Wimberly, Ray Wimberly, Calvin Wimberly, and 1 sister Nona Merle Wimberly.
Mrs. Greene is survived by 2 sons Kenneth Edward Greene of Lake Alfred, Fl. and Robert Windy Greene of Fern Park, FL. She is also survived by 3 Daughters Helen Louise Phillips (Husband John) of Tallahassee, FL., Georgeanne Henderson (Husband Mark) of Havana, FL., and Betty Ann Berryman and Randy Driggers of Dothan, AL. She also has 11 Grand Children and multiple Great Grandchildren.
Lucille is also survived by 2 brothers, James Irvin Wimberly ( Wife Charlotte Crosby Wimberly) of Auburndale, FL., and David Leon Wimberly of Lakeland, FL., and 2 sisters, Mary Ward of Winter Haven, FL. and Melanie Harrell of Eagle Lake, FL.
