James Timothy Brewer, beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was born June 19, 1959, in Lebanon, Ky, and then adopted by his parents, James Hester Brewer and Betty Jean Perkins Brewer. Timmy worked for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for over 27 years and was a lifetime member of Bethel Baptist Church, in Frankfort. Timmy is survived by his brother, John (Kathy) Brewer, his sister Deirdre (Ronnie) Cohorn, his niece, Tara Kathryn Brewer, and his nephews Paul Brewer and Matthew Cohorn. He was also a great uncle to Josie and Jarett. Timmy also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Timmy was part of a special family for over 20 years, and leaves behind Sharaleene Wainscott and her daughters, Tabitha and Amanda, and Amanda’s sons, Jaxon and Maddox. He loved this family dearly and remained involved in their lives even during his illness. Timmy enjoyed life and especially retirement. He served on the Franklin County Fair Board for some years. He would go to NASCAR races with friends often. He also enjoyed going to truck and tractor pulls and farm equipment auctions, where he bought and sold many items over the years. He even owned a farm at one time and bought and sold cattle. Timmy could be seen practically every day in his retirement driving up and down 127 from Frankfort to Owenton, some days he would go back and forth many times. He could often be found at the Don Ellis Monterey Market where he was a familiar face, sitting and talking with people that came in. Timmy loved vehicles and was very proud of his latest purchases. A 1950 Chevy P/U and a 1965 Chevy Impala S/S convertible. Not a day went by that he didn’t show one of his caregivers or nurses pictures of these vehicles. Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, James Hester Brewer and Betty Jean Perkins Brewer. He lived with them for most of his life and helped care for them in their final years. Timmy was also preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Special thanks to the many caregivers who helped take care of him these last few years. Services will be conducted by Brother Robert Hutcherson on Tuesday, July 16 at 11am at Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort Ky. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Monday, July 15, and from 9-11 on Tuesday. He will be laid to rest next to his mother and father, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
