In Loving Memory of Alix
Alix Josaphat Celony (83) passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024, with his family by his side.
Alix Josaphat Celony was born on November 14, 1941, to his parents Clodavy Celony and Solange 'Erzulie' Bordenave
His education started at Elementary at FIC (Frères de l’Instruction Chrétienne) in Gonaives, Haiti, Lycée Geffrard jusqu’à la Philosophy, continuing his education at Études de l’enseignement Supérieur (Option working with the young Adult). After graduation he gained a position as an assistant teacher where he taught children general studies. Alix was a great athlete, and won many championships games in soccer, he enjoyed Karate and judo and had a passion for music. He enjoyed writing, reading different books, learning about different cultures, countries and Human Psychology.
He later traveled to the United States with his first wife and reside in Brooklyn NY where he served as a Seventh Day Adventist Deacon, assisted Pastor and Pastor. He later remarried his late wife Yvone Leys and moved to Houston Texas.

Alix lived his life with a love for Humanity and as a faithful servant of the Lord. Alix had the biggest heart and always wanted the best for everyone. His wittiness made you forget your problems. He was a private and quiet person; he was fearless but sensitive and compassion with the spirit of the Lord.
Alix left this earth taking his last breath worshipping the Lord, while our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. He is survived by many of his grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his immediate family, the Celony family his extended family, the Bordenave family and the Barbot family.
