Lesley Macklem
May 8th, 1946 - June 14th, 2024
Our dear wife and sister Lesley Macklem passed away peacefully at home after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Bill; her twin sister, Anne; her brother, Michael, and his wife, Wendy; and nieces and nephews in England.
Lesley and Anne left England in 1978 to become nannies. After being in the United States for a year, they decided to stay. Lesley had many careers including Firehouse Restaurant manager for 20 years and Starbucks barista for 21 years. She loved animals, especially her golden doodle Mattie, and was often seen walking at Folsom Lake. She was an avid gardener and home decorator.
Lesley was living proof that God sends angels to inspire us. On Lesley’s moment of passing, Jesus extended His hand to Lesley and said, “It’s time to go with Me, and leave this earthly body and travel to the stars to be with God.” We would like to thank Sutter Hospice for their wonderful care, and neighbors and friends for all their support.
