October 6th, 1942 - July 2nd, 2024
Kent William Thran, 81, finished his race well July 2, 2024 in South Carolina, surrounded by family as he transitioned peacefully to his eternal home.
Born in Pontiac, MI and a long time resident of Tampa, FL, Kent was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, Judith Darleen Thran, and youngest daughter. He is survived by his three children, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one sibling.
Kent served his country with 23 years in the United States Air Force and 20 years in government service. Kent lived life to the fullest with his steady devotion, big heart, clear-eyed wisdom, loyalty, and sense of humor. He will be missed by the many lives he touched.
He will rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A Celebration of Life Service will be at on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm at The Bay Community Church, 3318 Moran Rd. Tampa, FL 33618,
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Galcom International USA or Samaritan’s Purse.
