Joshua Daniel Mora

Joshua Daniel Mora passed away at his home in Tucson Arizona on May 23rd, 2024 at the age of 39.

Josh was born on January 24, 1985 in Eugene Oregon at Sacred Heart Hospital to Alfred and Laura Mora.

He attended St. Paul Parish School, Marist Catholic High School and graduated from the University of Arizona Eller School of Management with a Bachelors degree in Finance.

Josh excelled at sports throughout his life but had a special passion for basketball. While at the University of Arizona Josh was a member of women's basketball team practice squad for two years.

He had a successful career in finance, eventually achieving his goal as a Certified Financial Planner, which he took great pride in.

Josh also had a strong passion for music as a DJ and composer under the artist name of JAMASTE, his music can currently be heard on Spotify.

He attended the Coachella music festival every year and later attended one of the largest European music festivals, Tomorrowland, in Ibiza Spain in 2022.

Josh enjoyed visits to Phoenix, Oregon and California to visit family and especially loved the family trips to Hawaii.

Josh was also a great lover of animals, especially for the dogs he had throughout his life. His favorite Saint was St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.

He inspired others to take chances to do what they love and to do good for others. His motto was "Be a Joy Sparker".

His smile and his love will be greatly missed but we know that we will someday be with him again.

Josh is survived by his parents, brothers Matthew (Landon), Andrew and Thomas, Grandmothers, Beatriz Mora and Dora Renteria, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends, who have become his family and his beloved dogs, Ali and Beans, who have joined the Oregon pack.

Josh is preceded in death by Grandfathers Faustino Mora and Prudencio Renteria.

A celebration of life for Joshua will be held on Friday, July 26th at 11am at St. Mark Catholic Church in Eugene followed by a reception in the Parish Center. A private family interment will follow the reception.
