Glenn Smiley

Glenn Smiley July 25, 1932-July 4, 2024.

Survived by his wife Lola Smiley, Daughters Pam Heye, Glenda Mitchell, Grand children Nicole Rey (David) (their children Avery, Aubrey), Glenn Gese (Jenni) Lindsey Smiley, Aleaha Heye (Will) their son Marcus. Predeceased Daughter Sharon Trnka, Glenda’s husband Steve Mitchell, Pam’s husband Pat Heye, Grandson Keith Gese.

Glenn was born in Deer Trail Colorado to David and Myrtle Smiley, after High School he joined the US Army, Para-trooper 82nd Airborne Division he was stationed at Ft Bragg Army Base in North Carolina where he met his wife Lola, they were married on February 18,1955, he was then transferred to Japan where he spent a year, then back to North Carolina, to reunite with his wife and daughter. His next station was Ft Campbell Kentucky where he welcomed his second daughter, when he was discharged, he moved his family back to Colorado. Glenn worked as a bus driver for 35 years at Denver Tramway, Denver Metro Transit, which all became Regional Transportation District (RTD).  Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family.  

Glenn was loved by everyone who knew him and will be missed by all.

There will be a service at Ft Logan July 25, 2024, at 10:30am with a reception to follow at Red Rocks Fellowship 11195 W Belleview Ave. Littleton CO. 80127 at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers you can make donations in Glenn’s name to Red Rocks Fellowship.
