Isaac Antonio Cervantes
September 20th, 1978 - July 11th, 2024
Isaac Antonio Cervantes gained his wings on the morning of July 11, 2024, at his home in Oakville, Washington. He was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia this April. His doctors tried to fight with him but in the end, he chose to go home for what he called “His Last Hurrah,” to spend his final days with his family. Those five days were spent sharing jokes, love, and laughter. Leave it Isaac to show us again how to live life to the fullest.
Isaac was born in Sunnyside, Washington, on September 20,1978. He attended schools in Mabton and Grandview, where he found his love for music. Isaac played trombone in Jazz Band and graduated from Grandview High School in 1997.
He went on to work as a car salesman in Auburn, Washington, where he met his partner, Chi Pham. Isaac and Chi moved to Pullman, Washington, where he worked at Pizza Pipeline while she completed Veterinary School at WSU. They later moved to Federal Way and then made their home in Oakville for the past 17 years, where he was the beloved animal rescuer in the small community. Isaac was an avid fisherman, gamer, sports fanatic and self-trained chef.
Isaac is survived by his partner of 25 years, Dr. Chi Pham, and his loving family: parents, Robert and Linda Marquez; sister, Vanessa Frias (Edwin); brothers, Robert (Samantha) and Damien Marquez; and his nephews, Brandon (Araceli) Marquez and Adrian and Carlos Pedroza. Also surviving are his cousins, Nicole (Mac) Moore, Andrea Lucas Cervantes, Anastacia, and Caleb (Daniela) Cervantes, who were all by his side his final days; his beloved uncles, Silvestre (Dottie) Cervantes and Uncle Erasmo (Juana) Cervantes; cousins, Felicitas (Gabriel) Moreno, Lita, and Cole (Amanda) Cervantes, Jaime (Trina) Garcia; and many other family members.
