Jacqueline Mae Roby, 71, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at St Mary’s Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born on September 10, 1952, in Amsterdam to the late Carlton and Dorothy (Jimerson) Roby. Jacqueline grew up locally and graduated from Amsterdam High School. After school, she began her career as a laborer and worked for Mohawk Fabric Inc. for 25 years.
Jacqueline enjoyed listening to country music and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Carlton and Dorothy Roby; daughter Gina Roby; sister Linda Morrell; and brother Lawrence Roby Sr.
Jacqueline is survived by her brother Carlton (Liz) Roby; grandchildren Preston Kornegay, Tygee Roby, Nygee Roby, and Mareesa Darby; great granddaughter Nyasia Jackson; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In keeping with Jacqueline’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
