Sharon Lee Cumper
December 15th, 1946 - July 4th, 2024
Sharon Lee Cumper, 77, of Blythewood, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2024 surrounded by her devoted family who supported her until the end.
Born on December 15, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, Sharon inherited the gift of a beautiful voice from her parents, Frank Harvey Bono and Eleanor Theresa Lukaszek. She showcased her talent in high school chorus and even pursued her passion for music by joining a country western band and recording some of her own songs. Sharon harbored a dream of performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, but her plans took a different turn when she met the love of her life, Robert "Jack" Cumper. Despite her love for singing, Sharon chose to prioritize building a family with Jack.
Throughout her life, Sharon explored various job opportunities, but her true passion lay in cosmetics. Embracing her own beauty, she found success selling cosmetics for Avon and received multiple accolades for her work. Health issues eventually led her to retire, and she moved to South Carolina with Jack to be close to family.
Sharon is survived by her two loving sons, John Cumper of Blythewood, South Carolina and Craig Cumper of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter in law, Heather Cumper of Blythewood, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Jacob Cumper of Raleigh, North Carolina, Nicholas Cumper of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ursula Cumper of Blythewood, South Carolina. She also leaves behind her sister, Susan Bono Devoy of Oxford, Michigan; three brothers, Anthony Bono of Faser, Michigan, Steven Bono of Macomb, Michigan and Mark Bono of Clinton Township, Michigan and a large extended family of nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Eleanor, her oldest brother, Frank Bono Jr. and husband Robert "Jack" Cumper. Despite her complex nature, Sharon was a kind-hearted and passionate woman who left a lasting impact on all who knew her. The world feels a little emptier without her fiery spirit and loving presence.
