Elaine Leona Hawkins-Miller went to be with her Savior on July 6th, 2024 in Federal Way. She was born in Puyallup, WA on March 18th, 1951, and lived in various Washington cities, as well as Portland and Los Angeles. She was 73 years old.

She went to W.F. West High School and then went to community college. She worked as a secretary in various offices and hospitals. Elaine married her husband, Kenneth Miller, on December 5th, 1981. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Amie Miller and Stephen Miller. She also had a step-son, Benjamin Ray Miller, whom she loved as her own. Ken went to be with his Savior Lord in 2006.

Elaine loved to travel. She went to Hawaii 5 times, the Holy Land, the Oregon Coast, Niagara Falls, California, and many other places. She loved traveling with family and friends whenever she could.

Elaine loved being very involved at her church, the Apostolic Faith Church. She sang and played violin in the church orchestra. She was a Sunday school teacher and loved sharing Jesus with all the children. She loved arts and crafts and sharing her talents with them. She always put Jesus first in her life and taught others to do the same. She loved Jesus with her whole heart.

She was a very loving mother to all of her children. She was in the school PTA. She also supported her kids by going to sporting events, band concerts, and also cheered them on when they marched in parades. She was also a stay-at-home mom who was always there for her kids. She always put her kids before herself.

She was marked by joy and shined Jesus to all. She was such a joyful example of how to love Jesus, even in the midst of pain. She will be greatly missed, but we look forward to being together again someday in heaven.

Survivors include her 3 children: Benjamin R. Miller, and wife, Mellissa; Amie L. Miller; and Stephen C. Miller. She also leaves behind two grandchildren: Alexis Miller and Austin Miller;  her sister-in-law, Yvonne Bishop, and Brother-in-law, Ron Bishop; sister-in-law, Marthela Hawkins, and various nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Philip B. Hawkins Sr.; her mother, Leona Priscilla Bolte; her brother, Philip B. Hawkins, Jr.; her other brother, Floyd A. Hawkins; her granddaughter, Colleen Miller, and her husband, Kenneth R. Miller.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 1pm at The Apostolic Faith Church in Chehalis, WA.
