Veronica "Ronnie" Mary Ligi
August 15th, 1959 - July 15th, 2024
Veronica Mary Ligi “Ronnie”, 64, passed away peacefully in her home in Wimauma, Florida, on July 15th, 2024.
Ronnie was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Helen Perrino, and three brothers Tommy, Joey and Frankie. She was survived by her husband Kevin, her two children Valerie and James, her sisters Darlene, Helen and Joanne and brothers Vinnie and Steven.
Ronnie was born on August 15, 1959, in Queens, New York, where she was raised and spent most of her life. In 2020, she and her husband moved to Florida where they built their dream home. Ronnie was a retired NYC school bus matron dedicated to caring for children with special needs, and those in wheelchairs. She was a small, yet mighty woman, with a big heart. Ronnie was an amazing cook and made the best meatballs and sauce; her kitchen was her happy place and she loved spending time with her family and friends. Sharing her homecooked meals and baked goodies with her neighbors in the community brought her great joy. She decorated her house for every holiday, no holiday was too small. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, listening to music, dancing, playing cards, crocheting at stitch club, and creating diamond art. Ronnie had a personality that stood out in a crowd, and a great sense of humor, she always had a joke to tell to make you laugh. Ronnie was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.
