Jose "Pepe" Guadalupe Rodriguez
March 19th, 1950 - July 17th, 2024
You loved him greatly in this life; now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise, where there will be no more sorrow, only peace and joy with Jesus, your son.
Our beloved father, Jose Guadalupe Rodriguez, or “Pepe” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, sadly passed away on July 17, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ, at the age of 74.
Pepe was born on March 19, 1950, in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, he was the eldest of ten siblings. He grew up in Juarez, Mexico and that is when he was blessed to have met the love of his life Eloisa. They were thirteen years old when they met, they grew up together as childhood sweethearts. They married on November 14, 1970, at the age of 20, and remained married for 54 years until his passing. They became American citizens and moved to the United States in 1972. Pepe worked as an HVAC mechanic and eventually ran his own HVAC company in El Paso, Texas. When he retired they moved to Arizona to be closer to their children.
Pepe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Eloisa Rodriguez; children,Joe Rodriguez, Alma Meuer, Ivonne Kroman, and son-in-law Eric Kroman; grandchildren, Vanessa Rodriguez, Bruno Meuer, Brandon Rodriguez, Bailey Meuer, Sasha Kroman, Noah Kroman, Dylan Rodriguez and great-granddaughter, Alura Meuer. He is also dearly missed by his beloved dog Anabel. Pepe is also survived by his siblings, Pedro Rodriguez, Irma Lopez, Rafael Rodriguez, Elizabeth Vidal, Hector Rodriguez, Edgar Rodriguez, and Veronica Medved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolina and Pedro Rodriguez, and siblings, Gerardo Rodriguez and Maricella Rodriguez.
Pepe was the life of the party and had a great sense of humor and joking nature. He was known for his strong will, outspokenness, great storytelling, and his readiness and willingness to help those he loved. He loved watching sports, especially soccer, and baseball, he enjoyed fixing things, traveling to new places, swimming, riding bikes, listening to music, and taking pictures. He loved eating sweet treats and he enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids, and dog, Anabel. He also enjoyed visits to the casino and relaxing on the beaches of his beloved Mexico with friends and family. He was proud of being from Mexico and proud of his Mexican culture and heritage. Pepe enjoyed life to the fullest!
Jose's legacy will continue with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him. May he rest in peace with his beloved mother, father, brother, and sister.
A memorial service will be held in Arizona on October 19th, 2024. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church20615 E Ocotillo RdQueen Creek, AZ 85142
Mass: 10-11 a.m.
Celebration of life will be immediately after mass from 12-4 pm at the family residence. RSVP with a total number of people attending by October 1st. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at https://givenow.lls.org.
